Who are we?

We're just some dudes who want to be the very best. Welcome to the Gracidea Shaymins blog.

Gracidea Shaymins is a competitive Pokemon squad based in Australia. We play using the VGC format, the ruleset used for official Nintendo-sanctioned tournaments held around the world.

In this blog, we post things we feel like getting out to the world. Tournament reports, stances on the metagame, thoughts on sleeper threats, and maybe even some articles here and there that won't be Pokemon-related.

Hoi! I'm Metatyph! I’m the de facto artist for the Shaymins, and I’m responsible for proofreading and formatting some of the articles published in this blog. My battling skills are subpar at best, so I usually try to help in other ways.

Hey, I am SirMoram. Metatyph and I were the first members of the group. My main expertise comes from teambuilding and analysing teams and such. I mainly try to keep the peace in the group. Either that or I disturb it.

I'm GreatTornado and I've been playing VGC since the end of 2014. My achievements include missing seven Rock Slides at Regionals, then winning via a Rock Slide miss against the same person at Nationals.

I go as Ayrias, and I've been playing VGC since March 2015. I enjoy the community aspect of the game and go to every event I can. You can normally find me on Showdown or Nugget Bridge!

I'm Dannitard and I'm new to VGC because I didn't step up my nerd game soon enough. But I'm here now, and that's what matters. I hope you enjoy my nicknames and trashing on shit anime.

My name is Sam, but you can just call me Sam. I've played Pokemon since I was 6 years old but only started VGC in 2014. I've placed second at Melbourne Regionals in the senior division, but GT is probably a better player than me. /IA\

Hi Guys! I'm unanimously known as HyperTHD. A growing player since 2014 and from Toronto, Ontario, it's been a great honour to work with the guys at GS. I enjoy being the underdog, especially in a tough NA region.

My name is Will, but I am known in the VGC community as Rhombus (RhombusVGC, etc.). It's been a year since I started VGC but unfortunately I’m still not very skilled as a player. I’m the most likely to leave for a food break.

Hi, I'm Lynette, a Pokemon player from New Zealand. I started playing competitive Pokemon in 2011 during the B/W era of OU and started VGC in late 2015. I enjoy reading and drawing.
